Saipan JungleFowl from Cackle.

Seems like all 6, Saipan chicks may end up being females. All have white wing feathers coming in.

Not sure what I'm going to do without a Saipan rooster. If I really need to, I may have to cross in some Malay, then back cross.

Mine shipped yesterday. The tracking number says they haven’t been received yet but I don’t trust that status.

So far this isn’t a good experience. My hatch date had been moved back and the timing of it became such that I cannot take off work on this particular day if this is the day they come in.
How does something ship, with the hatch date being moved back?

Only issue I had with mine, was the tracking said it was delivered to our post office when it wasn't. It was shipped with priority, but was delivered to our house through Express.

Wonder who cackle gets there saipan hatching eggs from since they don't maintain 99% of there own birds the eggs are from independent farmers.

I have saipan mixed into my free-range flock. You can't see it in them anymore. I had a hen who was half saipan and half miniature American gamefowl that gave me tons of very feisty chicks mixed with other American gamefowl and Dominique that where all naturally raised and thrive up here in Ozarks without any supplemental feed, shelter, or any kind of medications.

My hatch date was supposed to be a week or two ago then it was moved to yesterday. Apparently yesterday worked out because they claim they’ve shipped, but tracking shows it they haven’t been dropped off yet. Last time I had a chicken shipped tracking was similarly off, and my bird was waiting for me at the post office before tracking had even checked it in to where it shipped from.

My post office has word to be looking out for the package, and if it comes in before I can leave work, I have a brooder set up and my wife can pick them up and get them under some heat until I get home.

That sounds abit annoying.

That's good.
