OK, I gave up looking for the second time. GF#1 is garden fresh. GF#2 is gluten free. What's GF#3?

I haven't posted anything about GF 3 in awhile. It stands for Gun Friendly. I used to shoot competitively, co-teach a local pistol class, and have been range help for an internationally known instructor and expert on the use of lethal force for self defense.

Last night we went to the neighbor's house for our first ever (in the 30 years we've lived here!) block party. Everyone on the road came, except for one person who was out of town.

The hostess had a great game for us to play. Write down 2 things that nobody there (except spouse or mom/dad/daughter) knows. Fold the pieces of paper, drop them in the jar. Then someone drew out the slips, read them, and we had to guess who wrote it.

I learned this about some of my neighbors:
--one had been to 50 countries (!)
--one was a sculptor (can't wait to see his pieces)
--one was born in Australia
--one was a dual citizen, Canada/US
--one was in 3 halls of fame (local schools)
--one had been in the Nutcracker Ballet
--one was an All-American
--one had met both President Bushes
--one had been on an 80 mile backpack trip

among some of the interesting things.

It ended up being a GREAT way to get conversation going! Some of the "reveals" were truly surprising!

The person who had been in The Nutcracker had been in his 50s? 60s? at the time. He had played Mother Ginger.

Look up the roll... the requirements are mostly being willing to make a bit of a spectacle of yourself. And you have to be tall and strong enough.

His wife had been the costume designer/sewer for the Grand Rapids Ballet. She's my "neighbor who had a heart attack." She was the All American, which nobody guessed. It was in cheerleading, which was all she could compete in back then.

Their daughter had played Clara in the Nutcracker one year too.

Tomorrow is The Big Day in the bathroom remodel.

The old tub comes out and the new shower goes in. We already have an issue: The shower pan is close to 1" longer than the "gee, this should be standard sized for putting in a tub, huh?" space.

We have a fix -- we think.

I nearly cried when hubby told me this. The shower pan and walls were about $2000. They are also a special order color, so there is no way to return them. We have to make this work.

There is a reason I don't post pictures of myself: I might be bald tomorrow, from pulling out my hair.

Remember this pretzel? Hubby figured out why it was there. Whoever ran the plumbing up from the basement plumbed the hot to the cold and vice versa. So it was "corrected" up at the tub. He said he hoped whoever had made the original mistake had the joy of fixing it.

Interesting looking fix they came up with.
They said oh well no one will ever see it.
I bet it was fun making all those connections in a tight spot.
Do you have to correct this?
