Ok, actually my backyard is privacy fenced off and covered by a canopy of trees so I don't hAve a run, they just run around wherever they want. Any turkey people let me know!

Has anyone ever had a breed that didn't accept the babies?
So far I have done this with the following breeds :
Barnvelder , langshaw, Brama , Plymouth , seabright (annoying broody 5 x a year for the non setter. I had to give her away)

American game we had did not accept eggs with chicks already hatching or lil hatched ones .

I'm just curious, but how many people commute 1+ hours to work? I'm thinking of moving out to Dulzura or Jamul and my job is out off Clairemont Mesa Blvd......thoughts? I'm wondering if I'm crazy for considering this.

I used to commute from Jacumba.... sixty miles to get to El Cajon. It wasnt bad. and was totally worth it because I got eighteen acres and a house for a very good price.

The place that I worked had people there that commuted from Temecula.... same distance but it was a longer drive because of work traffic.

I looked hard in Jamul... but I wanted horse property and didnt have much money.

but the building of 125 should make the commute pretty good. 94 to 125 to 52 and its a straight shot to Clairmont Mesa.

If you get the chance though... Try the drive on a work day... maybe after getting off work.

Hi

I drive 40 minutes each way from Alpine and I enjoy the drive. I don't have young children and if I did I wouldn't want to be that far away from them during the day if I had a choice. By the way I have a Gold Laced Polish hen at the ranch waiting for you
