I always put electrolites in all the waters for my chcikens and horses. I haven't lost a bird to heat yet. I also feed big watermelons and wet down the ground and under the trees. I work all day so that's the best I can do. If I am home I also spray everyone down - the turkeys, horses and steers just stand there grateful for the cooling. The chickens run around a little but I know they have to feel better!Any tips other than lots of water for the chickens? Mine are around 9 weeks. I have been giving them chilled watermelon, covering part of the pan to make shade and making sure they have a lot of water, but don't know anything else to do.
Thanks.
