Save The House Sparrows (STHS)

Maybe house sparrows should have never been brought here. But they have, and that's no reason for them to decline. And it's not just the house sparrow that eats out of warehouses, but also other native species. And so what if they poop all over stuff? That doesn't make them bad.
So you wouldn't mind going to buy a bag of chicken feed, and finding bird poop on it? Or maybe picking up a 6-pack of Pepsi, and finding bird poop on a can?

I would as much as I would going outside and seeing chicken poo on my car, but that doesn't mean I despise chickens for it.

I am just fine with an invasive species that is in decline in a place where it is invasive. They were released here in the U.S. for a pretty ridiculous reason, so it will be a good day when they're finally gone. Not that that will happen, they are a tenacious species.

Seriously, you need to actually read up on native species if you think we'd be overrun with bluebirds if house sparrows were gone. I'm just glad most folks abhor them as an invasive species and have created habitats to encourage native species rather than invasive ones.
There is nothing right about killing any creatures. Sparrows has just as much of the right to live as you do. It is not their fault that they were brought to the US, even if it was, it isn't right to kill them.

Personally, I would not care at all if a bird pooped on my head! Would you mercilessly murder all your chickens just because one of them pooped on a bag of chicken-feed? You are saying, that a life is less important then a non-living bag of food?

And do you think God is looking down at us pleased because his sparrows are being killed? No. They are His creatures too, just like us.

(Hope you guys don't mind,I posted this on another thread, but this is really important and I think you all should read!)

I care about the sparrows! God does too! Here's some scriptures about it! Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. Matthew 10:29. It means, that God is so caring for his creation and life, that he values the sparrows, and one does not fall to the ground without him taking notice. It says that sparrows are so nuemerous and small,(One can be sold for a small amount of money) that not many people on earth care for them. But God does. So if he cares for the tiny sparrows,he cares for us just as much. (There is also a verse that says,He clothes the lilies in beautiful colors, and takes care of the sparrows in the field. So he takes care of us just as much.) Sparrows are important. They eat bugs and are little creatures for us to see and enjoy! God created them for a purpose. Nothing in creation has no purpose! Sparrows ARE important and valued.) Hopes this makes you feel better!

(This is added.)
Sparrows ARE aggressive, but they really don't affect that many brids. Blujays,Grackles and Stralings are just as agressive as Sparrows. If you want pictures,I can find them. Grackles are big black birds that are slightly bigger than Blujays. They are numerous, and some bully other birds off of feeders and nesting sights. Blujays do the same thing, except they aren't as numerous. Starling are smaller and look different, but they are just aggressive as the rest of these birds, yet, people are pushing for their protection and their saftery! Why is the common house sparrow any different?!?!?!? Any answers?

I think all these birds deserve to be saved, don't get me wrong, but why do they get special privlidges, when the house sparrow gets none? Is it becuase they have more colorful plumage? Or becuase they are bigger? Maybe they are less common than the sparrow? Some of you who believe the house sparrow is a pest, give me some solid answers of why this is? Any answers, please.

(I appologize for spelling. I type slopppy when I type a lot! XD)

But while we are getting all worked up about saving living things, what exactly constitutes a living thing worth saving? Do rats, mice, insects also deserve your protection (oh, my, those murdering chickens, eating all those helpless insects!) Plants are living things; without them, none of us would be here - is it really OK to kill them?!
