Scabs on Wattle?

My buff has some scabbing on her wattle. What do you think it is? Thank you.

It looks like very minor frostbite that is healing.
What part of the world are you in? If you went through that polar cold like so many in the USA my bet is frostbite.

I'm in California. There has been some frost recently so that's a good guess. Thank you.

should be fine, as long as it's just the edges. looks like frostbite.

Since you are in California if you haven't been extremely cold then I doubt it's frostbite.

It may be minor pecking injury.

She is on the top of the pecking order. I'll check on her again today (as well as the others).

The scabs now look like blisters...Is this fowl pox?

I think that you are right about it being fowl pox, especially if you have mosquitoes out. Peck marks from fighting or bullying can sometimes look like pox. If you think it is fowl pox, it takes about 3 weeks to go away, and it usually affects others.

Not really. Do check inside her mouth for anything unusual and keep an eye on the scabbing around her nostrils.
