Let it go as a lesson learned ... never sell unringed ducks, and always require payment upfront.

Definately. They only unringed ducks ever again going away here as baby's are free; because they will only go to really close friends/family. Going to, unfortuntely, narrow down my cirlce of "trusting people".

Well, actions have consequences, so she's in for it. She's lucky NOT to live in the USA, as I know of at least one person who'd point Karma in the right direction. (Who am I kidding, I'd drive her over, hold her coat & encourage her to "give 'er another one!").
