We had one for years until it got dilapidated. They do work though. We've now resorted to wind spinners. We have 3 giant ones that ran us around $75-$100 and several of those cheapy little ones. Those seem to work too. But the scarecrow is a fun project and you can change it's clothes for the different holidays. ☺️

I made this one out of pool noodles and plastic feed sacks then mounted him on a grape arbor. Ordered a momo mask so he'll be more frightening

Moved my scarecrow to a better location and added some plastic bags for movement.

Scarecrows are cute. But I think making a couple of them yourself from empty pop bottles or other such material would do more good. Motion is frightening.
I cut slits in the bottom of a couple plastic shopping bags and put one in each hand of my scarecrow so they'll flutter in the wind when it blows. His arms raise and lower and I move him around the yard weekly.I'm hoping it doesn't frighten off the real crows.
