He will have a flock of either Production reds or RIRs (12 of them and Orion's girls)

LH you can offer 1 of the 3 boys I have. Tonight Red and one of the twins were great help to me while working on a pen. Theyre like lap dogs. The other twin decided to play chase with the nextdoor neighbor girl. She would chase him with a rake to my yard then he would follow her back,lol It was comical to watch.

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I'm treading water desperately to get caught up on everything I've missed since last Friday. So, if I sound a bit stupid, forgive me please. It's muzzle loader elk season up in these parts and my head is pretty much in that direction. But more on that later [next week] I've got to keep this brief as I'm already about a half hour past the time I wanted to lay my weary head down.

LH, you are always in my thoughts and prayers!

I hope everything makes a 180 turn around for you ASAP. Especially where it concerns your health dear lady!

Jeff, those are awesome dogs! Yes, I did do a bit of research on them right after I asked you for pictures. I'd love to have a merle with the medium coat someday. They're beautiful!!

Everyone else, I think about all y'all, all of the time. It helps me to pass the quiet hours of the hunt!

So, know that I'm thinking about y'all as I'm out there beating up mountains, slogging through marshes, and wearing myself down to a nubbin.....or is that the other way around?

Oh Brandon I bet she would like them....she wanted a rooster with "colors" but all I had was Orion. I will find out....that will save Kathy transport on a cull. Hang on to them for a few days please.

I am in a foul mood today and people are on my nerves already - but i guess i should jsut be glad for the lack of real troubles i have!

It is insanely foggy here - as the weather man called it - pea soup. This is when the weather scares me - i have to be at work on time. So i rig the door so the goats will eventuially kick the door down and let out the flock. Hopefully they dont do this too early or i am afraid soemthing is lurking in the pea soup to get my chooks! Cross your fingers all!

Well its been a crappy day here. Work is getting worse and no point in sight of it getting better anytime soon. Come home to work on the coop that LH's DH brought and mashed my hand. Almost

. Then noticed that broody decided to quit brooding my Guiena eggs.

They might be dead.

I hurried and put them in my incubator.

Hope everyone else has had a better day then me.

I worked today. The highlight of my day came when I got to see my mail when I got home.
My shipment of New Hampshires came today, thanks to George Jensen!

The door of the Icelandics pen was ajar and they were ALL out. What a job that was, catching all of them! My arms are already a mess from all the work I do around here. Do you all have scrapes and scars? Mostly from fence wires and stuff, occasionally from the birds.

It has been awhile since I mashed my finger with a hammer though. Finally got my bruised fingernail all grown out.
