As for the original question--some birds are just more people oriented than others. I have a duck who to this day (she's nearly an adult now) comes running over and hollers at me every time she sees me. I can't figure out what exactly she wants me to *do* because she sure doesn't want me to touch her, but she definitely likes to talk to me.
