Second baby baby shower?

haha Seriously! No offense to the other ladies its just I honestly adore them. Sure they ask for alot but they are just giving options - They dont actually expect to get everything on the list. At least not the people I hang with or are family with. Everyone I know is very appreciative and understand if you just show up for support and to share in their celebration of life. And not to sound rude but honestly I would more not like going to a baby shower for someone with 13 children... that just seems like too much... (Once again not trying to offend)

I usually find that if the children are more than a couple years apart, alot of stuff is moth eaten or worn out, or has been donated. I have no problem with attending a shower for a second or third child. What I do have a problem with is bridal showers for a second or third marriage.

Children always need something, but if your first marriage didn't work out, you are no longer 20 or 21 years old just starting out.

My friend had a baby shower for her second child, although the second baby shower was very low-key and laid back; it was more of a friendly gathering and most of her gifts were practical like diapers, Dreft, baby shampoo, lotion and stuff like that. She didn't have a shower for her third and the gifts she received were informal and practical.

It must be a southern thing to have a shower for each baby, especially if the baby is a different gender than the first.

I didn't have a shower for my first (only) baby. She is 10 now and my husband wants to keep the option of another open and everyone is talking about couple baby showers? I didn't even want to go to my own bridal shower (I was actually put in a car and taken, a friend registered and did everything for it) when we got married but to think of a couple baby shower later? *shivers* I just don't do showers of any kind.

I didn't get a shower for my 2nd but I go to other ppl's showers for babies after the 1st one. I know I give away evrything my kids outgrow, and if you have 3 years between kids you have to start all over from scratch!

Yep. Five years between my two and everything had been given away.
