Second order from McMurray, DEAD

there is noway 25 chicks was going to cost you 45.00 in shipping as the highest they charge for 25 chicks is 17.06

If you order 25 of the same chick it's 17.06. Try ordering different kinds to make 25. Not the same.

I ordered 4 different breeds from McMurray and my shipping was only $10.50....

Shipping is based on distance. Mn is pretty close to them. Mine went from MM to Minnesota to San Francisco and then to Woodland, CA.

You should be able to get chicks fine from them.

For orders sent to Feed Stores that you pick up, my guess is that someone from the feed store travels their Regional Post Office and picks them up on Saturday or Sunday. Shipping during the week like on Tuesday would get the chicks to everyone in the US within two days. MM has been disingenuous and said that they have to ship on Friday. See the post about what the USPS says about live animal shipment and not shipping on Friday.

Shipping for 25 chicks from MM to Wisconsin was $9 and something. I want to say $9.50? It was REALLY cheap. I ordered a total of 7 different breeds. They sent 2 extras for 27 chicks total.

Gee, I wouldn't want to add up all the DEAD chicks since I last posted. As long as chicks are shipped, innocent chicks are going to die.

Would you like to add up all the live chicks that have arrived at their destinations safe and sound? How many thousands do you think it is?

You guys are lucky to have shipping so cheap.. The only large hatchery I can find in Canada charges $140 for shipping! One box holds 100 chicks, but if you want only 25, it's the same price. They have to fly them in.. :/

That's why I go through breeders. No way am I paying that much extra per bird for shipping to get less than quality birds. Their individual chick price is around $4 and up

They sell EEs as Ameraucana, and they charge $5 per chick! That's really the only reason I even considered going to a hatchery was for the coloured eggs. Fortunately I did find someone who important EEs from a US hatchery, and I can just drive to get them. :)

I was going to order from MPC and the shipping was 36.00$!! I went to efowl and got free shipping and much cheaper prices. The only down fall is MPC's selection is greater than efowl. And their is a 5 chick per breed min.
