Sedalia, MO poultry show on October 18th

yes definately on the frizzles and the partridge roo, but she is not positive on the white hen. we will see when we get down there. I agree with the hope we leave with less! Hee hee

I love them! They are so sweet and calm and cute!

We are selling some silkies and some of the geese and ducks.

The information I have on the show is you have to have them enrolled(entry form) in by October 10th (postmarked) It says you can send an e-mail and pay at the show.

Mail entry forms to Pat Johnson 39 Osage Road Urbana, Mo 65767

E-mail [email protected] and entry fees will be collected before the show starts.

Entry forms states.Breed, Variety, Sex, Band#. Fees are $3.00 per bird open, $2.00 per bird Junior, $4.00 double coup, $6.00 trio, $4.00 goose and Turkey pens. No cash please they said. Must be Pollorum-Typhoid clean, birds can be checked there.

they are having an inside sales thing $2.00 per coop to exhibitors only. must pass same health things.
Outside sales are $5.00 per car-load same health restrictions.

yep, going to be held at the fairgrounds. i'm going and bringing plenty of birds to sell if you're interested!!

Missouri State Fair Grounds Poultry building.

Show room opens 6:00 AM Sat Oct 18
Birds in Place 8:00 AM Sat
Judging begins 9:00 AM
Coop out after judging has been completed and awards have been given out.

Inside sales are for exhibitors at $2.00 per cage used
Outside sales are for anyone 5.00 per carload it is in a covered area (I am assuming the barn looking building they use for the petting zoo at the State Fair next to the poultry barn.

You cannot help but buy, the chickens have their little way of overpowering your mind and making you buy them.....hopefully they will have the same effect on your hubby!

We dabbled in Call Ducks a few years ago. Loved them. I don't currently have any right now. At our house we just have assortment of laying hens. So I really don't know that I am "looking" for any particular breed. I have to say I love standard cochins and Salmon Faverolle. I don't have either of these breeds right now.

My very patient husband knows that I am wanting to expand the poultry yard - I have been drawing up plans and pointing out things I want to do when we are outside working. So I think he has gotten the hint that more birds will be coming at some point.
