Austin,
Not sure really when/what I'll have for sale. If all goes according to plan I'd have some Self-Blues available in the fall. I am hoping to show a decent group of cockerels and pullets at the Crossroads show. However, if I am not happy with the f4's I will hold off and go back to Blacks for an f5 split and then f6 Self-Blues. We'll see.

Thank You for the updates. These will be beautiful birds.
I saw the Lavender/Split-blue Silkies at the APA show in Shawnee, OK. There sure were alot of beautiful Silkies but I love Cochins.

I have these giant Lemon Blue Cochins just bought and so fallen in love with...and it has been an education learning to refit the coops for these big heavy birds, and the feathery feet and the mud....but in spring, we will be on the mark !

So I am watching what happens here on the thread...and LOVE these big slow lovable birds...

Again, not to rain on anyone's parade, but I highly doubt those are large fowl Lemon Blue Cochins. My guess is that they are Buff X Blue crosses. Which are not genetically Lemon Blue. Lemon Blue is a recognized pattern described in the Standards. You'd need a Large Brown Red Cochin to make Large Lemon Blues, and anything I've seen that resembles a large Brown Red Cochin in a Buff X Black Cross. If someone sold these birds to you as Lemon Blues they are incorrect.

And....my intent behind starting this thread was to have one specifically for Self-Blues. There is a separate 304 page and counting Cochin Thread.

These birds are LF, they are Ginormous, and produce the BBr & S...They are seriously huge, no bantams here.
I bought them from Rare Feathers Farm, she hatched and raised and sold them for many years until the roo got frostbite and she could not longer show him.
But I will take my posts elsewhere, Thanks
Oh and RFF did say that these 3 do produce a buff baby every so often...well, thank anyway
