Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

Wow I just spent the better part of yesterday and this morning since 6 reading this thread (all 147 pages). Very informative thread you gals/guys have going on. I love learning and am absorbing all the great info like a sponge. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge. I love all the pics by the way and have been testing my knowledge by looking at pics posted and making my call and then seeing what all of you have to say in later post. Not too bad for a beginner if I don't say so myself. I also copied and pasted on a doc. the ratios when breeding lavs. I think I have some nice b/b/s and they are getting breeding age and was looking at ways to seperate them. I will also be looking to add lav to my small flock and will only ever put in with black or other lav since reading this thread. Just wanted to say thank you for such great information. Still needing a showgirl the one I called about did not work out he was pitiful looking. I do like my light splash is there nothing I can do with them? I have 2 hens and I have loved them from day one. If you see any major faults pleast let me know like I said I am learning but I do think they are nice. When I get NPIP certified I would like show just for fun for now. Most of my silkies have great toe spacing and awesome foot feathering.

Thank you featherbaby! Do you see any major falults with them. I have a very nice blue hen as well. And what I think is turning out to be pretty good black roo I am worried about the crest on him but he is just now getting his big boy feathers. Time will tell. I really would like to get some lav here but it is not looking to good at the moment. No bator and honestly I am a bit scared to let lavs be my trial in the bator when I do get it this Christmas. I have made a few contacts (silkiesofsummertown please let me know when and if you have babies avaliable) trying to get my hands on some of those lavenders but no luck yet. I promise I will only ever put them with black, black/lav split, or other lav. I am serioulsy considering the Shawnee show just to kinda get to know what is expected and meet of the the top breeders, oh and see (maybe buy) a few chicks to my flock. If anyone wants to bring some there for me that will diffently sway me to going. 12 hour drive, with gas 1.49 a gallon and 120 bucks for decent hotel nothing for good quailty lavenders. Let me know soon so I can book the hotel sounds like it will be a very busy weekend.

Oh Letisha......I might have to arm wrestle you for those lavenders!!!!! HaHAHAHAHa!

Cheshie chick.....how many eggs is she sitting on? Are they hers? Who is the daddy? We are all waiting for the day you
have some lavenders to share with your adoring fans!
