Letisha, your silkies are beautiful! I have a couple of beautiful splash Showgirls that I'll be showing at Shawnee, along with a few oher birds. Bren, Deb, and John F are always at Shawnee with gorgeous birds and often have birds for sale there, and sometimes bring birds for specific people. George M normally shows there also, but I understand he's stopped. All are very friendly and helpful.
It would be worth your while to go to Shawnee. It's the APA nationals and will be a very big show. Last year, they limited the entries to 2800; this year will be limited to 4500. There'll be much more sales space as well. Should be some very nice birds available. I'm bringing a few from my Isabel Porcelain project to sell, as well as one or two to show. Their background is a mixture of George's and Bren/Deb's. John F is planning to bring porcelains to show, and his are gorgeous!
My lavs are coming along slowly, but at least some of their eggs are fertile now. I have 7 very young adults from Bren/Deb, as well as several black/lav splits from them. So far, I only have four lavender babes, with nearly 3 dozen in the 'bator. Some are from splits, so won't all be lavs. Am hoping for a nice hatch in about 2 1/2 weeks.
