i’m selling a pair of barnevelders on craigslist that i raised from chicks. one lady came by and picked up 9 pullets, and by the way she treats them and updates us on the little gals, we know they’ll be in good hands. however, the barnevelders are a male and female pair, and for a good price too, considering they’ll have to deal with the roo. the problem is i’ve gotten very attached to Dominic, and unfortunately i can’t keep roosters in my city, but he’s just a sweet, curious cuddle bug that i want to make sure goes to a good home. i’ve already gotten someone interested in him but i’m worried he’ll end up like the multitude of roosters thrown into the local animal shelter like i’d witnessed before. how do i make sure someone who’s interested in him will take care of him?

Charge $20. Nobody would pay that if they are gonna eat them.
we’re selling him and a girl barnevelder for $30 since that’s sorta the going price for single pullets i’ve seen. what i’m worried about is someone buying the two for the pullet (since i put on the ad i won’t separate) and then discarding him 🥺

Maybe you can see if they already have some of the Barnevelder's but need a roo? That's my situation over here, but I am in AZ. I already have 2 girl's of that breed that are already laying, but don't have a matching roo for them yet.
