Day 18, lockdown for me. Candled the eggs to check for viability and was surprised to find one chick has already pipped internally. If all goes well I'll have another 14 chicks in several days. Fingers crossed!

I've removed the turner, the silence is blessedly deafening! Will turn the eggs by hand a couple times today.and lockdown is tonight so I'm working on increasing humidity today

All nine eggs that were supposed to hatch today have hatched within the last 24 hours. Now we have seventeen cochin chicks with two eggs in the incubator set to hatch on Monday.

So far so good! I'm on day 14 and all 26 of my eggs are thriving. The Marans eggs are pretty hard to see in, but I see veins and some movement. I stared out with 29, one never developed and two were early quitters. I hope all of these babies hatch next week!
