I have one egg that has pipped but I think it might be stuck. I have bumped up the humidity to hopefully assist the chick, but I'm not sure if it will make it.
From The first September Hatch, although a few of the larger Naked Necks are from The August hatch but I had so few after selling chicks I just held them back to the September brood. Today the Brooder door is open and they can walk out into the coop and out the coop door, so far they have just walked far enough to get food and water then returned to the brooder. in a few days they get evicted from the brooder and have to live in the coop.
4 weeks later as of today, my CCL chicks. 1 of the 2 males is absolutely double the size of everyone else. And one of the hens is sporting a crest already and talk about attitude. she is very curious and in your face type.
here is all 5 of them. The males are in front. and on the left is a silver female. not sure I like this color yet, but as long as she lays blue I'll deal.
A close up of the big male. The smallest male my sisters kids named Garfield. when asked about the big male they just said he was a big meanie.
Two of the red breasted females. I do like the crest starting on the biggest female.
