September Hatch-A-Long!

For those of you that use egg cartons to hatch I think I'm going to try this method who do you do it? Cut holes in the bottom? I kinda have to due to space

My eggs in my bator are due Friday the 13th. I hope thats a lucky day!! I have one turkey and a few silkies all due the same day... keeping my fingers crossed.

So freaking excited I just candled all 48 eggs and only about 10 are ? the other 38 have veining and I even saw a couple of chicks moving around Yeah

Can ya tell I'm excited and that was even after transporting them in the car for 25 mins!!! Yeah I'm

that they continue and grow and have a healthy hatch!!!!!!! I will candle again on day 10 and see about the ? ones but honestly I would be happy to have 1 hatch!!!!! Happy dance Happy Dance!!!

Does anyone have any suggestion on how I can regulate the temp of my homemade incubator? It is a still air styrofoam ice chest that I have in my bedroom closet. That is where I have my usual bator.at.

I use a 40 watt appliance light bulb with a thermostat and PC fan....once the thermostat was adjusted (prior to incubation)
I haven't had to touch it since!

well I did it! I've never done it before never thought I would or could but my little polish was getting sicker and she could no longer stand up then she start throwing up!
I really had very little hope for the crippled baby it also had pain in the gimpy leg which was short and reddish the other chicks pecked at it and made it cry...it was just sleeping all the time...

I just put them in together after I kissed them each and asked the lord to help me!

I didn't tell anyone except you all...when anyone here asks me I'll just tell them they passed!

So sorry....I pray you never have to to that again, God bless you.

Dorothy the chick with leg braces had to be helped out of this world this morning What a way to start the day She was refusing to eat or drink at all and started staring up and gasping. Her chirp sounded distressed, so I helped end her pain.
