September Hatch-A-Long!

My eggs in my bator are due Friday the 13th. I hope thats a lucky day!! I have one turkey and a few silkies all due the same day... keeping my fingers crossed.

I have 5 eggs due Friday the 13th, too! Buff Orpingtons. They were shipped eggs so they've been wonky the whole time. I pulled a quitter night before last. I've installed a cardboard brooder box custom made to fit in my bathtub...when I had four week olds in the house that's where they lived for awhile and got lots of attention there.
So we shall see. This is my first time incubating and I feel like if I can get past the shipping issues and the high humidity here in NC - All The Time- that I will be very lucky to hatch two of them.
Fingers crossed...lockdown is Wednesday!

Is there an October Hatch A long?
I've found every month, but that one
(I did however learn that some day in October is national egg hatching day?)
Getting ready to load the bator back up later in the week for an early October hatch

What a way to start the day

She was refusing to eat or drink at all and started staring up and gasping. Her chirp sounded distressed, so I helped end her pain.

I'm never done, I think I have a problem! haha
We're going to have to start hatching meat birds before we are completely overrun with chickens
We don't even live in the country, we're right in town

Thanks I'm happy to say that my goats are back home and won't be leaving ever again!

Great job on the hatch, and so sorry about your goats.
