Check Sally Sunshine's posts on BYC, she gives excellent advice, a truly great resource.

awesome.....yeah, not a whole lot of similarities in their looks
Thanks for the sympathy, I guess I just want them to get here so I can start worrying about air cells and if I should incubate them for a while before I try to put them under my duck and if my duck will sit on them because last time she didn't and will they hatch and what if they need my help and is it getting too cold and how will I get them out of the chicken coop and how will they get along with the ducks I already have and how big will my duck house need to be????!!!!!!!
Just kidding.... kind of![]()
Congrats. So what breeds are the proud parents? Curiosity ...
I'm currently incubating eggs from my Tetra Tint and my Golden Buff hens covered by my Partridge Silkie or Cream Legbar roosters. I can't wait to see what they look like. I'm really hoping I'll have a better hatch rate with my hens eggs than the mailed ones, plus I had to test their fertility. ..![]()
I ordered a couple of BCM eggs on my last hatch. One of the two that hatched was black with yellow belly, the other hatched with white coloring. We named them Ebony and Ivory. They both lay dark eggs, though ivory's eggs are not as deep chocolate as Ebony's eggs.

In the last pic, Ebony is right in front of Ivory.
Day 14 for me on this hatch.![]()
Out of the 4 from this batch 2 outta 4 made it. The 2 that didn't make it are from the same hen and if this trend continues in the next batch I won't be hatching her eggs anymore!
92 they could still have a higher internal temp and depending on how long they were at that temp for they could still be fine. It really depends on if it was just an hour or if it was all night. Id give it a day or two and then candle. Hope it ends up being OK!
