Serama Bred By Silkie Cockerel

Two little fluff butts hatched on Saturday from serama eggs. One chick has five toes on both feet and the other only has nine total. They are cute little blue buggers. I know they’ll be satin feathered but I wonder how big they will get, right not they are tiny little cotton balls. One appears to have a slight beard. Hen pictured isn’t biological mom, I’m thinking that their mother is blue mottled.

One has black stripes horizontally across its toes. I know that some genes interfere with fibro pigmentation and sometimes it can take a while for legs to turn dark. The silkies that were with the mother are of hatchery quality. I’m not going to be shocked if they have light skin and are roosters or end up with any other oddities. I’m really just curious on how big they’ll mature to.

I checked the potential sires and everyone has light, light grey or raspberry colored skin, none with dark. Of course with that, there’s red ears, white ears and blue ears, single combs, spikey rose combs, pea combs and maybe a walnut in there somewhere. For the colors, there’s white, blue, splash and buff. The spikey rose comb

Update!!!!!! The little one ain’t got no legs, it waddles!!!!! (Squeals like a little kid on the inside) Its sibling looks like a giant, lol.
