Serama eggs from Castle Delight Seramas

Here we go again! I set 32 eggs (15 shipped and 17 from my pens and a friend's - they were CDS babies she adopted last fall) on Friday night. Tonight I pulled all the shipped eggs plus 2 of mine. I still have 15 little ones growing strong. I feel a better hatch coming on....

Woohoo! 15 eggs developing? I would probably faint. That would be too much excitement. I started with a dozen bantam cochin eggs (a tight fit in my little incubator!) last Thursday and have at least 7 developing plus 2 more that are maybes. I took the rest out this weekend. 2 of them are from an experimental blue calico pen which should be interesting. The rest are mottled, silver laced, and lemon blue. Hopefully I can get at least one of each. Which pens did you set eggs from?

LOCK DOWN NEXT MONDAY ON 3 CDS EGGS (2 from Amadeus and 1 from Etienne), 1 CDS GRAND-BABY!!!! (from Hawk and Rocky) AND 5 EGGS FROM CANDACE AT PAMPERED POULTRY!

GREAT hatching to everyone I have 20 Serama eggies growing. Some mine some shipped. I can't wait until my CDS start laying. When do they usually lay? My 1st Serama started at 19 weeks but she was MUCH earlier than the other birds from the same hatch.

Hi Laura,

Glad your getting a new roo:) When you have spare eggs I've started my incubators up. A friend gave me some Paint Silkie/Showgirl eggs and that made my promise to my honey about not starting them until March fly out the door! Besides it's almost March:)

Carla, so good to hear from you! I'm so behind on all my emails. He' s a beauty and a sweetie, just need to get some good photos of him. I should have some eggs at the end of March if you are interested. Won't be any silkieds since I won't have girls for him for awhile, but a few others. I'll email you...really, I will! And yes, it is officially March now!

11 eggs still going strong in the incubator! All of them are from my own pens and Alexis' babies (CDS babies all grown up). None of the shipped eggs made it. Lockdown is next week, hatch day March 10th. I'm thinking the Hatching Gods are finally going to be nice to me!

Woo! Excited to see how your Gino babies turn out. Mine is the sassiest chick I've ever seen--definitely a boy. He's constantly challenging the older cockerel in the brooder that's quadruple his size. I know I know I still need to take a picture! He's a grey silkied so far. I need to post updated pics of my 5-week-olds too--they are so beautiful! Good luck next weekend! I'll be hatching mid week :)
