Serve open head wound is Black

If you go to any stores today could you pick up an inexpensive basic tooth brush labeled “SOFT” and a sample size bottle of tear-free baby shampoo?

A little kid size tooth brush would be optimal, but just regular if the kid sizes is expensive.
Today she’s eating good and smell isn’t as bad but still there and she keeps walking in circles .

I know you don’t want to hear this from me but you need to scrub it some.
Especially the top part of her head.
Use a soapy toothbrush like you’re brushing her hair.
It’s even okay if it bleeds a bit.
That means the capillary circulation is alive.
Stimulation of circulation is good in wound healing.
Trust me on this.
I’m not saying go at it with a wire paint removal brush..
just a soft toothbrush and some gentle soap.

Hang in there baby! You’re doing a top notch job!

Ok I’ll try that tomorrow

Next you want to work at the area where her temples are and that yellow crusty stuff on the back of her head and neck.
The yellow stuff is made up of spent plasma, serum exudate and white blood cells. They have served their purpose fighting off possible infection and accumulate as a crusty buildup.

The more that comes off (debriding) the better, as it allows new cells the space they need to take a firm hold and lay down in a randomized pattern instead of following a line into becoming stiff and painful scar tissue.
Using a brush in a circular, massaging motion helps stimulate circulation to achieve this objective.

I just wanted to say, you are doing an amazing job taking care of such an awful wound! The progress you’ve made is great, and you’re diligence is making a huge difference for your girl. I was very worried at your initial post that the damage was too severe, but now I really think you’re going to have a positive outcome. Thank you for sharing this. Praying for your girl! Your dedication is admirable.
