Woke up to 2 more pips and two of the 4 are now pushing on the shell a bit. I am guessing they will start to zip (or is it unzip?) here in a little bit. I am a little concerned that the original pipped egg hasn't changed at all, but it's not like anything can be done about it so I'm just going to wait and see. Interestingly, my theory has been proven correct so far. All of the pipped eggs were the smaller Ameraucana eggs which I guessed would hatch earlier because they filled up faster and the chicks would just straight up run out of room. The larger eggs that I got from the farmer's market are a little slower to fill up.
I could be wrong but that was my guess going in and it's interesting that only the ameraucana eggs have pipped.
I do hope we will see chicks today!
