Setting 7/21 - should be due on 8/10 anyone else?

I'm jumping in, I got 16 d'uccle eggs in the mail and they are in the incubator.
They will be due sometime around the 10th or 11th if they survived the shipping.

5 blue mottled
4 black mottled
4 lavender
3 porcelain

My incubator has no humidity guage, do any of you wing it? I borrowed it from someone and they don't have a guage.

Hi! I would like to join!

I set mine yesterday 7/22 at about 7pm. I'm hatching 12 GLW from ebay and 2 Silkie mixed eggs from my own flock.

I'm using my homemade incubator with a wafer thermostat. I will be doing the dry hatch still air incubation.

I bought a thermometer/hygrometer at wal mart, I just set it in the bator with the eggs, works OK, but dont worry about humidity until lock down...

I followed the instructions with my Hovabator 1602N last time and the humidity levels were too low throughout and specifically at hatching when it is more important to watch the levels. You can get a hydrometer pretty cheaply at Walmart and such so you may want to pick one up to keep track of humidity too.

Welcome!

i have a silkie setting 5 amerucanas and one polish/silkie,7/21 can i add more eggs this week or would that be overkill for silvia

I set eggs on 7/20. 18 are silkie from shipped eggs. 9 from my own bantam cochins. I have a Hovabator and its been stable at 99.5 and humidity at 43%. Also have some bantam cochin eggs under a EE broody due 8/1 This is her second time going broody this year.

I think i might have to take myself out of this group, while i was at work my mother took my silkie out of the brooder so, i went to check that she went to the right nest box. She still had not go into the coop. The eggs where a little warm but not as what they should have been. I hope they didn't cool to much.

it must have had a crack b/c it started leaking in the turner. I removed it and wiped down the area.

Hatching: (2) each of Black Australorp, Light Sussex, Welsummer, Wheaten Penedesenca, Golden Polish, Ancona and (1) Ameraucana/Araucana for a total of 13 eggs!
