Welcome LilyD!

My eggs will be kind of a staggered hatch. One batch is due a day or two before the others the week of the 7 through 12. These are shipped eggs as well. Good luck!

Mine are all shipped eggs. I started out with 43 eggs

24 from one shipment (Delawares)
15 Delawares from another and
5 Delawares from another.

I candled them day 8 and found that all the eggs from the first shipment were clears or were glowing green and black inside ick. One seemed to be growing but the baby isn't moving at all so I am not holding out much hope that it will hatch.
Group 2 13 of the 15 were growing and moving the other 2 were clears
Group 3 4 clears and one growing but I didn't see movement.

So I have 14 that I am hoping will actually hatch on the 14th.

I think from now on I will ask if my shipped eggs can be sent UPS ground because it seems like they are getting xrayed when they go through the post office. This is the second batch I have gotten that none of the eggs grew. Totally frustrating.

The heats not good either. I want more shipped eggs so bad. My weather in CA is fantastic we are going to be in the 80s. If I get more eggs they will be catdance silkies. Then eggs won't be shipped thought the hot states, and she has the best packaging I've seen. I have to convince my husband, that is getting harder and harder to do

As for my incubating eggs. Our weathers been great but got chilly last night in the 50s my temp dropped to 98.1 not sure if it will affect anything or not, I put a blanket over it and it came back up to 99.5

Oh, I forgot to mention.

I'll be candling my 8 Bantam Partridge Wyandotte eggs tonight as this will be day 15 for them. I'll try to post some pics on this thread on their outcome. Should be around 9:30 p.m. CDT.

Can't guarantee my photography skills. It's tough to do in the dark.
