Setting and hatching in December? Come join us! - Holiday Season hatch-along

I am a frist times with a homemade incubator and three silkie eggs on there 11th day. This is what happens when your pregnant and bored lol So far every thing is coming along great, yesterday I saw movement in all three eggs and good looking air cells! My only problem is my eggs are do Christmas Eve. Think my boyfriend would understand skipping my first Christmas with his family to stay with hatching eggs?
LOL I would hope so... Mine are due Christmas eve also but thank goodness Its at my house this year so I can keep an eye on my eggs. CHristmas Day is with My husbands family and if I have a few stragglers I may just have to skip his families this year

Thanks :) since everything im hatching is coming from my flock, and other npip clean farms they can be banded without direct testing. They gave me registered bands to finish banding the rest myself. Now if i aquire other birds I will have them tested at a seperate location before they are allowed into the flock. Most of what Im hatching now is freezerbound anyways but Ill have pure breeds hatching out for the nyd hatch
Thats going to be a full freezer! Thanks for the info

my hatcher runs at max a degree cooler then my incubator. give them time to do their thing and make sure your humidity is high enough :)

Humidity is a bit over 85%.

I just bought a roasting chicken for dinner, I have to make sure they don't think
it came from outside LOL!!!!

i will get meat chickens one day but i'm not quite ready to go there yet.!
