Guess i wil lhave one of the lastest hatches here...Mine are due DEc 29..
These are the BBS part english Orp eggs took 7 days to get here. Oddly i think there are some growing !
Maybe about 5 or 6.
Could be yolks as they are brown eggs and really hard to see with my crumby flashlight. Still they look the size for day 7 chicks. Have to see if they grow more to be sure.
Have MORE of the same eggs ,just mailed today, on their way!!

Yay congrats! Im glad those late eggs are showing some good signs. And More YAYs for the new eggs coming. I want to odrer more eggs too Im nervous for shipped eggs though.

So I did my next candling tonight, night of day 12. I started with 21 eggs and 5 are still definite clears so I removed those 5 tonight(cracked them open and they were all infertile). The other 16 I have left look amazing. Great veining, good growth and so much movement in all the eggs. Im very excited about this whole process.

I just set another 30 yesterday and ive got a batch in the hatcher hatching out now. 4 hatched 3 i saw zipping. We'll see whos out by morning

I love it when they are not fertile, that way you don't feel like you did anything wrong. Congratulations! I just candled my Christmas Day hatch and 7 out of 32 were bad. 3 had blood rings and 4 were clear.

My cooler-bator and hoova-bator are full with Christmas and NYD hatches. I've got to get working on one like yours! Good luck on the current hatch.

Well things are a bit iffy here.. I have 7 hatched, 3 pipped and two that are taking forever to hatch out of a batch of 41 eggs that reached
18 days. so far at best that 25% hatch rate. Humidity is 78% and temp is 99.3.. I'm hoping that they are just slow to hatch

one has been tweeting and half hatched for about 48hrs now i'm wondering if I need to intervene yet.

1 is hatching as we speak! I took its cap off to help the little bugger out. That leaves 2 banty and 1 regular egg in there that havent done anything yet. All the rest have hatched out and look ready for the brooder

Well... I did help it and it is doing quite well, it was ready to come out. I also helped another
BCM that had been working out of the egg for more than a day. This BCM is doing really well,
he just about hopped out of the egg. However out of 12 BCM's this is the only one so far .
There is one more zipping and one that pipped yesterday.

I had some shipped and some local and so far the shipped eggs are doing much better???

Give them time. all but 4 of the current set have hatched out in the last 24 hrs. Thinking me and the wifey are building another brooder tonight whent he kiddos go to bed
