Setting and hatching in December? Come join us! - Holiday Season hatch-along

Give them time. all but 4 of the current set have hatched out in the last 24 hrs. Thinking me and the wifey are building another brooder tonight whent he kiddos go to bed

LOL!! I use a cardboard box with a square of mesh to put the light on, they are disposable.

I now have 3 BCM's the second one hatched on it's own and it's TINY!! so that's now 3 out of 12. I guess the odds
are improving but we are now at the end of Day 21. I guess we'll see.

I ended up helping 3 to hatch, some are just fine, some are kinda weak so they may not make it, I put
them in a separate brooder as the happy ones were bullying them.

the rest are still in there at day 22, well you never know; but nothing happened overnight so my guess
is that we aren't going to have any more babies.

48 eggs, 7 early deaths or infertiles pulled from the incubator, 12 chicks :(...

I think my new humidity gauge may be off, I have two temperature gauges and they are reasonably
synchronized, I was also pretty pleased with the consistency of temperature. I set my AC at 73
and temp never went outside 98.5 and 101.5. I seemed to be having issues with the fan drying the
hatching eggs as well.

I am considering getting a new model sportsman 1502, i think it would be cheaper than losing
expensive eggs. I lucked out and can cash in some saved vacation time this year .
does anyone have experience with these and can comment
