Setting Eggs 4/17! Who's With Me?

I'm down to 4 eggs going into lock down in a few days... I'm just hoping they make it.

Im down to 13 from 27. I have one more egg I have to candle one more time it may be a quiter also. 3 more days til lock down.

I'm pretty stressed out about chicks right now. UGH. Out of the 15 eggs under 2 broody hens, only ONE hatched. The rest were either killed or abandoned. The eggs I moved to the bator didn't make it (though 2 of those had pipped through the internal membrane.

It was extremely hot here yesterday and for the first half of the day the A/C didnt' work, so my bator was running WAY hot (like 105) and who knows if that killed any of the eggs.

I WANTED to be able to start selling chicks, but until I get things under control that won't be happening. I'm going to candle before lockdown and see how many of the 21 eggs are still viable. BUMMER.

okay. day 17! I'm starting lockdown tonight since I set the eggs at night. I already brought up the humidity to over 70%. gonna candle them one last time and then lay off the poking at them.

I visited TSC this weekend and they had bantams (which is what i'm hatching).... I knew they'd be smaller but the smallness cuteness was just too much for me. If it didn't have 13 eggs in the bator, and TSC in my area didn't have a 12 chick minimum purchase I probably would have gotten one or some. There was this one chick that was sleeping upside down and it was having a dream and was kicking his legs and peeping all scaredly. I wanted to take him home, he was SOOOO cute.

THEN I had a DREAM that night that I went to TSC again and there was this one chick that hopped into my hand and fell asleep. The chick in my dream was vibrant red and black with a black head and black beak with bright yellow legs. lol.

and last night I dreamed that my eggs were hatching. so i've been freaking out all day wondering about them... aaaah!

i can't wait for my chickybabies!

lockdown... wednesday night. first hatch. Out of 32, as of today, I have 26 left. and 6 of those I can not see through. (hope they are ok) I will check again tomorrow and see what is going on. Hope to have all 26 left. good luck to all.

My lock down is thursday nite i was a couple days behind yall . i hope i sell some chcicks i have 40 right now and 30 on the way. My husband goes in for back surgery in the morn I will have to realy get organized tonight and get 2 more waters to put in broodys since i will be gone all day. I am realyw orried about this surgery this is the first major thing ever to go wrong with hubby he is the glue in the family please keep him in your prayers. On the egg topic i have not candled since day 7 so i have no idea how many are still going i will do it when i take them out of the turner. GOOD LUCK ALL Please keep us posted\\
