Setting Eggs 4/17! Who's With Me?

well i had 2 lonely eggs in the bator from the chicken that hathed 2 and left the eggs . I realy was prepared yesterday to pitch them i picked it up to candle and to my surprise it had a hole in it and chick chirping. So i set it with the pip facing up i checked this morning and he was not chirping humidity was good so i looked and he was drying to the shell i helped him a bit and stuck it bk in there he is out now and chirping away. \\i guess she had layed this egg latter or maybe another hen layed it in her nest. So i will candle the last egg but I did not see movement last nite so pretty sure he is a quiter. I need to wait for this one to fluff then i will clean the bator out and get the next 40 ready to go in. an anyone send me the link that tells how to upload pictures i forgot how LOL Thanks\\

Okay - My Dot is still sitting on the eggs - I tried to candle a couple but they just look dark. I have no clue if I even did it right. I don't want to mess with them. We have 8 days and counting.

Andy my hubby built a nice little chick and Momma Broody/brooder house. He also managed to lock Dot in the run with the other chickens for a while - not sure how long. I went to check on her and freaked out and she went right back up on the nest and hasn't left.

8 days and a wake up and we will have results one way or another.

Lock down was supposed to be at 4 pm today...but this morning when i was checking on the eggs,I saw one pipped! I quickly took them all out of the turner added water and hoped for the best...not knowing what the humidity would go to. Now, by 10 pm we had two chicks hatched out and a third pipped....I"M NOT READY!!!!

Lockdown tomorrow for us too!!! I am so excitede . We planned this hatch so it would take place on the weekend and we could watch...but I had a dream last night that we came home from work and they were all hatched...
Way too much chicken on the brain!

well i had that one out of two eggs hatch I had my son take the chick to the brooder and I set the other egg on my table told my other son give this a toss when u are done with your video game. TG i was in the room and he was sucked in to the game about 2 mins later i hear dchirp chirp what on earth its like 3 days late i picked it up and it had a pip i threw it bk in bator and got the chick out of brooder to keep it company. I will be gone all daty at the hospital i hope it hatches LOL
