Setting Eggs 4/17! Who's With Me?

Hi everyone well hubby had his back surgery he is doing great and will be home in the morn. The two chicks that were late hatched and are doing great . I will go to lock down in the morn. My 18 yr old son is here and i am going to pay him to help me make some breeder pens. So in the morn i will lock down one bator and clean out the other and get it stable to put eggs in.

I can not believe that the time is almost here. Just locked them all down. I am hoping that I get all 26, I know that 20 of them look real good to me. (though I have no experience, they sure do look like the pictures I have seen) So all seems well. I do have a question for all of those with more experience.... I have a broody mille fluer. she has successfully hatched every year the last 3 years, and has always been a good mom. Do you think I can let her have some of the babies to brood? I'm just wondering if she will be ready to be a mama hen after only 1 about a week of being broody.

Lockdown tonight! I am so happy...even after the turner issue and the power outage it looks like we did not lose any...good airspaces and now just have to keep our fingers crossed. I did remove the one EE that was hard to see but that I thought was a dud. Didn`t have the guts to crack it open so hubby did and it was a yolker!!! Big relief. I hate to remove ones I am not 100% sure of but had a rotten egg last hatch that blew during lockdown and I don`t want to go through that again.
Sounds like most of your are a day or two ahead of me so I will be excited to share your chick pictures while waiting..and waiting...and watching the bator.

My two pippers are now out .. I hated to leave for work this morning ..

I thought I timed this where they would hatch on friday and saturday .. lol .. best layed plans...

Anyway .. looks like I have a Faverolles pipping too ..

We're not due till May 14.... I never thought I would get tired of turning eggs, but I am! Maybe 27 is too many..... nah what am I thinkin'!
