setting eggs 5/10.

WE have 3 PIPS!!! The egg we all kept seeing move and my other leghorn and the black sex link have all pipped!!
My youngest looked at saw a tiny whole a movement. He got all excited!! TOO CUTE!!
SO now I have a new kind of panic. this being my first hatch.
I know where the air sacs were when I locked them. Why are they all pipping in a spot where there wasn't air sac?
It's freaking me out!!I can see movement inside one but they other two don't have very big wholes yet and I am panicking hoping they are getting air!!???
So far neither of my Ginger eggs are showing any signs. I so want her babies!!

Our first one is out! It's like it is begging the other chicks to come out and play. MY second one to pip isn't doing much. The third one to pip is trying for second It's egg is in the first photo LOL. The second photo is the first one all hatched. It curled up with its like breed and took a rest, then rolled the other egg all over LOL.

It just wants the other ones to come pit and play. My daughter is Talking them out. I did notice that this one worked harder if I was talking to it. I may have lost one more egg. My neighbor, who has hatched many ducks, thought it looked bad. We snuck it out and checked. Still not sure. It appears to be a fully developed chick and there was a pip mark on the bottom of the egg. I will give it a bit since we saw no movement and then try to help it a bit. how is everyone else doing?

Still waiting for my 1st pip. 1 is due today, 8 more due Fri.

How exciting! You guys are getting babies!

I just locked mine down tonight after a final candle & weigh.
I hope I haven't screwed them up...the 9 "potentials" have weight loss between 13% & 21%

Maybe [hopefully] I did the math wrong? I was aiming for 12-14%. I have added warm water & the humidity is up to 71% right now- steam on the windows & everything. i am trying not to panic...will wait til tomorrow morning to see where the humidity is- though i can't figure out how I'd lower it quickly anyway...It probably needs to be that high cause my chickies are glued in their little shells right now

I have left the 6 questionable ones in there too JIC. I will open them up once I'm sure they are quitters. How can you tell if they are infertile vs early quitters? I figure if there is bacterial contamination it will be pretty clear- right?

Can't wait until Saturday

got 15 chicks in the brooder and 5 eggs still in bator. no pips on those, but day 21 not till the 31. hope they hatch on out.

I have 2 babies out. 1 has been out scence 1 pm. The second just now decided to say hi. Its about time the first has been lonley. I have 9 pipped. 4 still not doing anything. That's ok still have plenty time.

Well I went away last weekend for my birthday. Hubby called on birthday to tell me one of my GL Orp hens(Miss Giggles) was dead in coop. I have had the other 2 with bubbly fluid in eyes. This morn I opened the coop and Big Black Jersey Giant was on her back. Vet gave us antibiotics yesterday and put them in water straight away. Chicks are also on it. went into lockdown lastnight for my 9 remaining eggs out of 24(alot were clear and had a few quitters) Wondering how many more I am going to lose. I've had Magpies stealing eggs from coop so really bad week so far!
