setting eggs on Thurs. Hatch date Feb 4th-who's with me??

Okay, I got it to stay between 99.9 and 100.1 so I feel good. Does that sound better? It has been like that for a couple of hours now. I'm going to get grey hair! I think I will keep good notes on this to use as extra credit for science!

ok day 2 and woke up to a temp spike of 104-arggg..opened bator to blow out heat and got it back to 100.4... I cant stand spikes!

I dont know if I posted the final count of whats in bator so I will do it now

this batch is bigger than I expected to put in-I typically like to keep it in the 25 egg range-but I couldnt help it and decided that this may be the last hatch for a while if all go extremely well-if not then hatch #3 will follow shortly LOL...

Here is the one I took a few days ago. You can see the little beards/muffs starting on some of them. There are some blue marans mixed in this pic too. I need to separate them and take some more good closeups. There is one who is really fat and really looks like a baby owl. We've been calling him Owl Baby lol.

I set mine Friday morning. My one order shipped a day later and I wanted to leave them set overnight to recover and warm up. Can i still be in on this hatch? I set 9 blue copper Marans and 13 welsummers. First hatch in more years that I care to count. Home made bator temp stable with less than 1 degree variation for 14 days before eggs put in. 99.5 to 100.1 forced air bator. I am kinda pumped about this new venture and I have 5 girls(w,d,dil,2gd) all excited about this deal.

I have 45 eggs in the bator for my first hatch. Every thing from some dark copper marans to green/blue and, yes, pink, EE's. I am nervous and have my fingers crossed! It will be my birthday so hopefully that will a good day...
