i keep moving it to one of the groups but if it cuddles with a stuffy then that might be less stressful then me moving it all the time eh?
thank you i just feel so horrable i messed with that other one!!
i dont think it would have hatched anyways because of how it was in the egg.. but i feel that there could have been a chance

If it was backwards in the egg, it probably wouldn't have made it out
so sorry. I know it doesn't make it any easier, but when they are turned around they usually can't get out. My last hatch I had one pip a huge hole, then turn completely upside down and die. It was heartbreaking.
. Just mark it up as a learning experience. We all have a few that are hard lessons learned. But I really think if it was backwards, it wouldn't have made it out.
I am so sorry to all who have lost little chickies. I am worried about 1 of my Doms that I had to help out, the shell had dried to her so I watched several videos a little bit ago on how to help out & I helped her just a little bit...
On a happier note though, I now have 4 black & white Dom fuzzy butts with a 5th trying to break out!!! YAY!!!!
Love the peeps! I have doms too. They are beautiful. My roo is awesome and very friendly. I had heard that they could be aggressive, but I hold him all the time. I have a cochin who is sitting, she might have been bred with the dom, I am anxious to see that combination.
My cracked egg was doing really well. He started zipping and made it about half way. There was a thin spot of the wax that I used where he couldn't pip through. I had trimmed the wax really thin. Well, I thought was looking from the top. I wish that I would have taken him out and chipped that spot. I know he would have made it. I will never use wax again. From now on, it's elmer's glue for bad cracks and only scotch tape on the pipping area. This is my plan for me. I still have 3 eggs that have not pipped. I am starting to suspect they are shrink wrapped. I'll give them more time. On a better note, I have 8 fuzzy butts that are doing well.
For most of us there are always loses with a hatch and it is always sad and sometimes mystifying why it happened...but we have to take joy in the ones that make it.
Congrats to everyone who has chicks...I just rushed home from work because this morning I only had time to transfer them all to the brooder but didn't have time to stick around to see if they drank and ate. But I got home and all are fluffy and moving around and happy...so I'm happy!
