My 1st Lemon Cuckoo Orp has made it's way into the world!!!!!
1 more is pipped, all 5 are rocking & tapping or peeping. My little Lemon has joined my 1st 5 babies in the brooder. They are 2 gorgeous Ameraucanas, 2 adorable Silkies, and my mystery chick that was supposed to be a Silkie but had pink skin with it's 5 toes has turned out to be a Mottled Houdan.
Apparently some of my eggs had gotten mis-marked. I ended up with 5 Houdan eggs mixed with my 3 Silkies, so the lady who shipped them is going to send me some more.
In addition to the 5 Lemons still in the bator, there are 6 Lavender Orps, 7 Call Ducks, 1 Assorted Orp, 1 Black East Indie Duck, 1 Mixed Bantam from my flock, 1 Silkie from my new Girls, and 7 Barnyard Mix including 2 BCM Mix.
I've also had a second hen go broody & join the 1st in her nestbox. Between the 2 of them they are sitting on 4 eggs: 1 belonging to my Sarah (the Mixed Banty Broody) and 3 additional BYM. All babies are due between now & June 24th, with an additional 2 dozen Silkies from CJ's Exotics and the replacement Silkies going in in the next 2 weeks along with a mixed shipment of Marans & Cochins.
Good thing I have 2 cages & a pet taxi I've gotten in the past 3 days, 3 more cages coming tomorrow morning & 3 to bring from my uncle's house as soon as I find a way to get them here. I'm running out of SPACE!!!!
