Setting eggs tonight! Anyone want to join me?

I set mine Sunday afternoon. I have 13 Australorps, 3 blue Rocks, and 3 Delewares, all pullet eggs that I am checking for fertility. I also have eggs on the way for next week-end. I think I'll keep this thing running all spring, or untill I run out of room. It has 2 turners and holds 82 eggs. That will make for a lot of brooders, I may have to retire to keep up!. ......stan

10 days is good, because then you don't jiggle your babies and accidentally kill them.

I set Lav Orpingtons, Langshans, assorted colored Booted bantams, Mottled d'Uccles and Lav Bantam Ameraucanas on sun morning

Day 10 is about the first day you will see much if you are not sure what to look for. After that , there is rapid growth, and it gets pretty dark in there. .........stan

If hubby gets home today in time to set up the fan for the incubator, I'll be setting a few BR, BO, and BRXBO eggs. My first hatch!

So, hubby was late getting home and we didn't get the fan hooked up. I'm thinking I may actually go ahead and set a few eggs with the still air today!

Here is my set up with homemade bater. If anyone is wondering, this is the temp when I put the eggs in and turned on the bater. It took a a day of fiddling with dimmer switch but I have been at a constant 100-101. So far so good.

What kind of eggs did you set?

Hi there itsy, i was just wondering how your eggs are? Hope everything is going ok for you.. Im going to candle tonight. I think ive got a dud egg so will check on that one! Ill be back once ive candled..
