So were all at the half way point, how bout an update on everyones hatches??? Through our amature candling, it seems that all our eggs have some sort of embryo growth, an they all are dancin around in their eggs!!!

hey Jonespoultry! I never did say: Welcome to the hatch!! Gotta love blue chickens.
After closer examination, a few more of my EE's are not looking like they are developing.
And in other totally unrelated news.... My 8 yr old has qualified for States, a little late in the game for qualification, but qualified none the less. Now, to decide if we're ready for the kind of pressure and heartbreak that can bring... There's always next year, if we decide to sit this one out.

We candled last night and only had one of our 13 Australorps that did not show development . The rest, blue rocks and Delawares, none were fertile. Going to have to put those young boys pen next to the Australorps! ........stan

Update on my hatch. 12 eggs, 3 not fertile so i set 9 eggs... 8 Fuzzy butts finished hatching yesterday. the 9th one died after pipping at the wrong end. Good result on shipped eggs and my first ever hatch. Heres a couple of pics.
the red one at the front is RIR. There was a couple of other eggs apart from just marans.
