well someone just told me I should start my lockdown after 18 full days... so I think I might be locking down at 10am on WEDS now...this waiting is driving me crazy...

Day 19 today...they are officially due to hatch Wednesday evening

AND I am going to be starting all over again late this week (it will be a staggered hatch. Getting 20 eggs from a BYC'er which will be mailed out tomorrow, and also my 25 from Louisiana which I should get early next week). Then I am truly truly done for the year. My nerves can't take much more incubating LOL!

BUT this will give me a good chance to get MORE GIRLS.... I need girls. I have enough little boys now.

Day 20 with nothing new happening. Based on candling I think it might have pipped, the bit of clearness right by the aircell has veins, so I'm thinking 1-2 more days.

Give it till day25. What was your temperature and humidity during the first 18 days and now?
how many times have you (if you had) opened the bator during lockdown? .

I have little chirping's coming from 1 of my eggs.... YEAH !!!!! It's rocking and rolling...

I never heard or saw any movement and this morning 12 hours early two hatched, one after the other and then at 5pm the third hatched and at 8 pm the fourth hatched. I have two externally pipping. They are not due until after midnight...Don't give up hope. Did you candle them before lock down and see red veins?

I have some SQ SLW eggs hopefully coming this week and I am starting again!

Just removed my turner, filled up the water thingee and went into lockdown. No pips, no movement......................

Well its 10pm now, tomorrow mornin at 9am it'll be Day 17, so lockdown is Wed. the 12 for me...I think...

Update for the list if u will for me

***23 eggs in bator (1 JG, 8 australorps, 7 banny BB red rooster/Nankin hen, 7mixed JG rooster/BR & Prodred hens)

All of them are lookin good. I've been keeping my temp at 99.9-100.1 constantly, tryin to keep the humidity b/t 43-50%, but just like earlier I went to check it & it was down to 27%, freaked me out, although I wasn't that worried, I poured water down the tube & its back to 50% now, my dad said he checked it 4 hrs ago & it was 46%, so in 4 hrs it went from 46 down to 27%....how the heck is that posssible if no one opened it? weird.
Anyways, their ok I'm sure, just don't want it going below that 27 thats for sure. So during lockdown I at least want it above 60-70% right? sounds about right from all yall's input; & I'm gonna take out the turners & lay them all flat in the bator so they can have plenty of room to hatch!

I Swear looking through the glass is gonna be so hard! dangit! My dad said "you better change your schedule to watch them every hour on those last days!" and i'm like "WHAT? that aint' a schedule...thats just no sleep! lol"
