Setting up the bator and setting shipped eggs this week....anyone else wanna join?

My first time hatching eggs in an incubator. Order eggs from a fellow BYC member. Got an assorment of eggs. Setting them in the incubator today. Grandkids are all excited for new chicks. We made a calendar to count down the days to candling, removing the egg turner and hatch so they can mark the days off. I think they are more excited than me.

Sounds like your hatching experience will be fun for all! Keep us posted on how it's going and how many hatch! I'm using a turner as well and I set 41 eggs. Good luck!

What kind of eggs will you be hatching, Celtic? . This is my first bator hatch. Well, it's my first hatch period. Next time I'd like to try an assortment too! Good luck!

Unfortunately that pic is a FEW yrs. old. hum. My Granddaughter is also following this hatch with me so this is supper fun. She has Djorges syndrome so is very special to us. To look at her she is perfect , Just a slight speech deficet betrays her at all. She is in the 2nd grade and doing well. She is my Mattie and I am in EVERY way HER GEEGEE. My Joy.

Thanks Gallina! I do have a large assortment in the bator....41 in all. What will I do if 41 eggs hatch???? I'm in trouble....LOL! One can only hope to have 100% hatch but the most I have had is 32 out of 42 last year.

So this is the end of Day 3 for my eggs in the bator...so far so good. I add more water yesterday and humidity is 57% right now. How is everyone else's eggs doing?

I am getting some eggs later this week too. They will ship Wednesday or Thursday.
Incubator is running and being adjusted. I am getting a dozen Millie fluer/Golden Neck D'uccles
and by the time they get here I will have a few of my Barnyard Mix to add.
