Would this be a good place for a newbie? I'm not sure about the quality of my birds but curious and think it would be fun. I'm about 2 hours away.

Definitely, I we have several beginners in our club who will be showing for the first time. The one thing everyone can tell you about chicken people, they will be happy to talk your ear off during judging . We always invite beginners out regardless of their age as a show like this one can be the best place to learn as I have found, and you never stop learning. We can explain how to prepare a bird for show, what to expect, and any questions you might have. Also shows like these are a great place to get new birds from some of the best breeders, and with those birds all the advice you can handle in one day. It can seem overwhelming at first, with all there is to take in, but even those of us who have been to alot of shows still get nervous. Also my show staff will be more than happy to help anyone with any problems they may have, from cooping in birds to answering questions about them feel free to ask.

Is this show still a go? Can someone fill me about the details? Can it be considered a silkie meet too?? I would drive 3.5 hrs just to attend if I know there are enough silkies to compete against. Let me know what is going on please!!!!!
