Sewandgrow's FOURTH Annual "Friends of a Feather Flock Together" Poultry Party, Turlock CA, Sunday J

I don't see my post so if it show up twice I apologize! I will be bringing plates, napkins, cutlery, cups, tablecloths, etc. also bringing some bantam eggs - calico, Mille fleur and mixed Cochins, bantam EEs, possibly seramas if my broodies stop lazing around and get back to work. I am looking for black copper marans eggs if anyone has some.

Omg, I haven't been on byc in a while and totally thought I'd missed this years party. I'm so thrilled that I haven't. I look forward to it. Is there a theme for the food? i.e., Mexican, Italian, etc. Gosh, I sure do miss y'all

The theme for food this year is the same as in prior years - yummy and plentiful!

I'll bring a strawberry cheesecake as well as my 6-1/2 yo son, Parker.
Also, I have 3-4 mo pullets available: silver-laced wyandottes, salmon faverolles, dark cornish, red-laced white cornish, and chanteclere (all large fowll)

I also found a breeder of WHITE jersey giants nearby so I'll have 3 changes of clothes. Lol!

Are the Cornish just table birds or do they live a regular chicken life. Are they like the ones we eat from the grocery store? I've always wanted a salmon faverolles, they are so sweet and beautiful. Oh, and that cheesecake looks to die for!

Cornish crosses are the ones mainly for table fair.
Pure cornish are slower growing and have normal longevity.
I love their tank-like bodies (great heat tolerance) and slow deliberate personalities.

These salmon favs are like puppies, following me aro8nd for petting and treats.
The silver-laced wyandottes are like cats with their curiosity but prefer to maintain a bit more dignity.

P.S. The cake tastes even better than it looks too. Noms.
