Are you sure you got a Barred Brahma Those are incredibly rare in the US. As for this one's breed, it looks to be a Black Cochin, just confirm bottoms of feet are yellow! Also please post pictures of the Barred Brahma! I suspect the breed or cross is something different If your overseas though, it could be!

Exactly what I thought! I never saw a barred brahma here in the U.S.

I think the one you are questioning is a black cochin pullet. maybe a bantam black cochin

Yep, there might be a handful of projects or imports, but they're certainly not established here It would be cool if they eventually did take off though

She's a Dark Brahma! You're seeing pencilling rather than barring The other is indeed a Buff Orpington, both pullets!

Yes! I was wondering if you had a barred mixed breed, but at least she is pure Brahma! All are very pretty girls, good luck with them!

Thankyou! After doing some research I see that they don't do very well in hot climates and this Florida summer has me beat! Thanks for the luck, I'm gonna need it!
