Sexing Lavender Araucana Chicks

thank you, my fault really i should of calibrated the incubator. i have had the incubator for 10 years and always had great hatch from it, but i know that it is running very low to what it should be. i will post some pictures if i manage to get any to hatch.

that was very informative and a great find by you. i did read some where that when very young the male chick will have like a dome on the head while the female is flat, how true that is we will find out.
i am in lock down now but i am not holding my breath on this hatch as my incubator is running very low, i only have two LA eggs in lock down and 4 silver laced wyandott, its now a game of wait and see.
What a coincidence that you have SLW in the incy too. You have very good taste in birds!! I was incubating 12 SLW eggs from eBay with my LA. Only one was fertile and sadly I lost that chick at a day old. Im gutted because I really wanted one in my flock. Fortunately every one of the LA were fertile and two out the four marans.

So long as the temp isn’t crazy low hopefully the chicks might just be a couple of days late :-). Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
