To my joy and amazement my golden sexlinks (RIR x Delaware) went broody and hatched me a dozen chicks. Although I lost two from an ermine and a hawk the 10 remaining are thriving and I WANT TO KNOW WHAT SEX!!! Help me sex my babies.
I have 2 roosters, a silkie, feathered legged bantam and a sexlink which looks just like a Delaware. The bantam threw this amazing looking black chick with brown speckled feathers!
Altogether there are 2 pure white (clean leggs), one all black (feathered leggs), one black (with brown specks, feathered leggs and fluffy shoulders), 2 white with black spots (feathered leggs), 3 golden (clean legged), and 1 with seriously barred wings.
I have been looking at color genetics and can't figure out just how some of these came to be. Back to the books!
Check out my photos and let me know what you think.
