I have a black copper marans rooster and BR hens. Will chicks be sexlinks?

Yep, they will. All the males will hatch with a spot on their head.

Another question about BCM/BR sexlinks! what color will chicks be other than white spot on males heads?

Your chicks will be black. The hens may get some of the copper leakage around the neck, or may not. Same for the roosters, may have some leakage on neck/wing areas.

Yep. It's a genetic thing so should hold true. That said, you can have a bird with a funky genetic makeup where that individual bird might not be what you thought, or some other issue, but if you use the breeds from tadkerson's chart you can't go wrong.

thank you for insight. i now have 2 and they are awesome. also have 4 other hens of various breeds and the waiting to be sure they were hens was nerve wracking! we got lucky the first time and will now probably stick with sexlinks.

If speckled sussex rooster with barred rock hen produces black sexlinks will a dominique hen work also?

4 of my chickens are sexlinks. I have to say one of the hens acts so much like a rooster.
