Yesterday went out to see the chickens and I could not find 5 of them.

I bought a shed to make into a chicken coop and they liked to get under it.

This morning I went out to see the chickens and I am missing another chicken, that makes 6.
I have one RIR left and she is pitiful and is staying hidden.

I have a feeling this is a hawk.

Sounds like a FLOCK of hawks if six were taken out! I would suspect something more terrestrial...

One hour today. Transport problems. Just enough time to feed them, do their water and clean out the coop. Also put foil back EPDM in the bottom of the nest boxes. You never know, one of them might just happen to feel like laying an egg; sort of show willing but not get carried away.

The coop floor needs a wash which I can't see getting done until next week.
The weather is going to get a bit exciting here over the weekend apparently.
The chickens are going to get very pissed off because it will definitely not be chicken out friendly weather given 50 mph plus forcasted wind gusts.

It's the threads third birthday today. Happy birthday thread.
