If I ever have the space and the money (pigs might fly!) I’d give both a go as both last

As close to flying as it can get. 🤣

Those would make amazing duck and chicken runs!!!
Maybe on the Shetlands. Too hot in summer in most most locations. 🥵
But its great in winter.. and who needs a run in the summer?

I remember Chippy finding a piece of broken glass and grabbing it before I could stop her. Fortunately, she just rattled it around in her beak for a second and then dropped it. I was so relieved. I quickly picked it up and threw it in the trash before Skeksis could get a go at it.
I'm more concerned about them cutting their feet while scratching than I am about them swallowing a piece.

Will you do without, or find another type that could be more resistant to storms?
Do without replacing that greenhouse. There are two mor on hard standing at the top of the fiield. The one that got blown down should not have been put up to start with. It's a long story...

If I ever have the space and the money (pigs might fly!) I’d give both a go as both last longer than more conventional growing structures & have better environmental credentials than polytunnels.
I know they deliver all over but not sure if people have similar locally to them.
Nice tunnels but way too expensive. especially for the field where growing anything more than weeds and flowers seems beyond some of the members.
Some of us have grown a decent amount just by picking with care what we chose to grow and where so it can be done.
The first thing the majority of the group members need to learn is to take care of the soil! Get that right and most things will grow. A tunnel would improve the yield and of course the comfort. The problem for some is the bugs, cabbage white for example and of course slugs. The chickens deal with the majority of the parasites on my plot, but I wouldn't try growing some of what the others do in the conditions we have.

Two hours today. It stayed dry, got to around 5C. The wind is still a problem.
There is still stuff going mobile. I found a few plastic plant pots agaisnt the fence of the run. The chickens won't have liked that. They were slightly hesitant about comong out of the run but decided to risk it after a few minutes.

I got the rest of the greenhouse frame stripped down. Just need to dump in the scrap mans truck when he gets home. He lives above C right next to the field.

One wet and windy hour today. Still getting 40mph wind gusts. Between the wind and the rain and all the recent wind driven excitement there wasn't much chance anyone would leave the coop extension for more than a few minutes.
Both Sylph and Mow have stopped laying.

I've been dreaming of fruit cake and custard. I didn't get much of the Christmas cake I made. I'm sure I used to dream about other things when I was younger.:p
I made a Dundee cake which is now in the oven.
